Florida law gives you the right to government records. When agencies refuse, delay, or redact without justification, there is a legal remedy. And the agency pays your attorney’s fees.
Under Florida Chapter 119, every person has the right to inspect and copy public records held by government agencies. When an agency unlawfully withholds records, a court can order disclosure and award attorney's fees and costs against the agency.
That means PRR enforcement cases cost you nothing if I win.
Moser Law PLLC files and litigates public records enforcement actions throughout Florida against school boards, law enforcement agencies, municipalities, and state agencies.
I handle:
Agencies that ignore or delay your request
Improper redactions and blanket exemption claims
School board and DCPS records disputes
Law enforcement records: arrest reports, BWC footage, internal affairs files
Records withheld to protect officials from accountability
Emergency injunctive relief when delay causes irreparable harm
Who needs this: Journalists, activists, attorneys, businesses, and private citizens who have been stonewalled by a government agency. If they won't produce the records and can't justify why, I take them to court.
